8 countries, 18 finalists but only 3 TorchBearers are chosen. Out of 6000 applications, 18 finalists were selected - but only the Top 3 vote-getters will win a trip to Shangri-La in Yunnan province, China, to run the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay on June 8th, 2008.
Only the top 3 finalists get chosen to be TorchBearers. Right now, thanks to all your votes, Lisa Ely is in 3rd place! That's excellent but she needs more votes if she is going to stay in the Top 3! Thank you :) Unfortunately, our USA finalist Lisa got pwned by India, Brazil and Argentina...... so unless there is a recount, no Olympics. But not for lack of trying. Thanks again !
